Twenty years of tiny lives.
Tabby's Tiny Tabbies is a Houston-based, foster-based rescue dedicated to the kittens most likely to be overlooked — the bottle babies, the sneezers, the ones found in a storm drain at 2am.
Over the last 20+ years, we've fostered dozens of litters in partnership with rescue organizations across the Greater Houston Area. Neonatal orphan kittens — especially those under four weeks — face mortality rates as high as 60% without skilled round-the-clock care. Our whole reason for existing is to close that gap.
What we do
- Neonatal care. Bottle feeding, temperature regulation, weight tracking, and medical support for kittens under four weeks old.
- Socialization. Every kitten is raised in a loving home environment with people and other cats — so they're ready for adoption.
- Community education. Free resources on what to do when you find a kitten, TNR, and neonatal care.
- Rescue partnerships. We collaborate with established rescues across Houston so more kittens get the specialized care they need.
A note on our nonprofit status
Tabby's Tiny Tabbies is currently in the process of becoming a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, planned for 2026. Until then, this is the work of an individual volunteer supported by family. Donations are not yet tax-deductible — if a tax receipt matters to you, our partner rescues page lists established 501(c)(3) groups who always appreciate support.
Follow, comment, watch — it all helps
Social media isn't a vanity project for us — it's how kittens get adopted, how fosters find us, and how neighbors learn what to do when they find a litter in the yard. Every follow, like, comment, save, share, and minute watched teaches the algorithm to show our kittens to more people in Houston. Comments and watch time count for far more than a passive scroll, so pausing on a video or leaving a "welcome home, tiny one" genuinely moves the needle.
The long game: creator monetization
Most platforms will pay creators a share of ad or fan revenue once an account crosses their eligibility thresholds — things like a minimum follower count plus a minimum number of watch hours or video views in a rolling 12-month window (YouTube's program, for example, has both a subscriber floor and a watch-hour floor; TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram have their own similar bars). We aren't there yet.
If we get there, that becomes a steady, recurring revenue stream for the rescue that costs supporters nothing but a few seconds of attention — money that goes straight into vet bills, formula, and spay/neuter surgeries. Growing the audience is genuinely one of the highest-leverage free things you can do for these kittens.
